Panbai International School held the first field trip of this academic year on Thursday, 20th July 2017, with an objective to expose the students to what goes behind making a movie. The students of Grade 4 to Grade 6 were a part this trip and were accompanied by their respective class teachers and Mr. Mahadeo.
Students reported to school at regular school timing in their PE uniform and carrying minimal supplies. We departed for the venue in our school bus at 8:00 am and reached the venue at 8:45 am. The students were eager to reach the venue and learn about the Bollywood industry.
On reaching we were first briefed by Mr. Shafiq on the history of Indian cinema and how animations are done in movies with the help of Chroma range. Thereafter, we were asked to settle in the recording studio and sing songs of our choice in the recording room and hear how the recorded songs sound. Students sang solo and chorus songs and enjoyed themselves. We were then exposed to the dubbing room were students dubbed famous dialogues from the Bollywood movies. We were then educated about folly- the art of adding sound effects to a film by using readily available materials.
The students had an engaging day and with pleasant memories we headed back to the school at 12 noon.
