International Yoga Day
Panbai International School celebrated International Yoga Day on Wednesday, 21st June 2017, with an objective to create awareness about yoga. The parents, students and teachers were a part of this health campaign.
Students came in their PE uniform carrying a yoga mat. During the assembly a short skit was performed by students of grade 10 depicting the benefits of Yoga. The atrium was decorated with the cut-outs of symbols related to international yoga day and various yoga postures.
The first session was for parents and students of grade 8-A level. The program was led by expert yoga instructor Ms. Sheetal Arora assisted by Mr. Lalit Choudhry, Ms. Deepa Wadhwani and Mr. Akash Wadwani giving instructions and performing some basic asanas for everybody to follow.
Various time slots were allotted for the entire school to perform the exercises wherein the students and teachers performed some moderate exercises. Exercises that increase stamina and flexibility and improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems were illustrated.
The students were delighted to showcase their flexibility and learning restrained exercises.
