The majestic venue of St. Andrews Auditorium was filled with a musical sojourn on 24th December 2016 and witnessed the spectacular 7th Annual day Celebration “Symphony – A tribute to Music Legends” presented by the students and teachers of Panbai International School. The annual day this year saw a very thoughtfully chosen theme in order to pay a tribute to the music legends and their contribution to the same field.
This musical affair was graced by Wing Commander Rishabh Sharma along with the School Managing Trustee Dr. P K Shetty Sir, special invitees & other members of management who enjoyed the alluring and fantastic student hosts taking this day forward and blustering the audiences completely with their oratory skills and astonishing stage charisma.
The annual day event saw a divine start with the prayer dance performance on “Deva ShreeGanesha” by the primary & secondary students followed by an instrumental jugalbandi that left the audiences mesmerized by their performance. Well that was just the beginning; the auditorium was left in complete “awwwwwww” when we had our youngest lot, the pre primary children performing on stage. That was a treat to watch for the eyes of the viewers and simultaneously took the audience down the memory lane since the songs chosen where the blockbuster hits of all times whether be it Shakira`s Waka Waka or Daler Mehendi`s Bolo Tararara!! The students of primary & secondary section were not less than the dancing professionals that we usually see on television. The kids stole the show with their magical performances on the songs by Sonu Nigam, R.D Burman, Kishor Kumar, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Michael Jackson and A. R Rehman. The presentations were not only spectacularly eye pleasing but also completely mesmerizing to the audiences. The thunderous applause by the audience was the testimony of the same! The teachers of PBIS also made sure they utilized the platform to show that this school has equally talented teachers who can set the stage on fire with their dance performance by doing the “Pinga”. The Grand Finale performance was so aptly designed that it clearly communicated the message across to “Lets Nacho” with all the enthusiasm to its peak.
An annual day event is incomplete if it does not prove to be a platform for commendations and felicitations. Panbai International School left no stone unturned not only to felicitate the students who got accolades to school by participating and winning in various competitions but also the consistently hardworking teachers who ensured the students got A*in the IGCSE examinations. Very few of the schools consider the PTA a great driving force of the school but at PBIS, we consider them to be our backbone since their time and again contributions have helped the school in all the ways, be it academics or arranging the annual event “OORJA” which was a super success. As a token of appreciation for their hard work, the Management of PBIS was proud to present each PTA member a letter of commendation on this day.
And like they say “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence”. With great pride in mind, we can proudly say that “Symphony” was one of the best Annual Day Event till date & amongst many more to come in future.
