World Population Day Celebration @ PBIS
On Tuesday, 11th July 2017, World Population day was Celebrated at the PBIS Campus with great enthusiasm and vigour. It was not only informative in nature for the students of PBIS but this day also served a chance for the children to create awareness regarding overpopulation in our country. The day began with a well rehearsed special assembly in the morning by the students and the teachers explaining the importance of how 11th July got its own importance as World Population day. The assembly was not only well researched but also a well rehearsed act. This assembly was followed by in house poster making competition within the students on the theme of the day which was “World Population Day”. The students utilized this competition to get the creative side out within them and came out with some really commendable work. The students of PBIS took this opportunity to serve the community by presenting a “Nukkad Natak” at a location near the school premise. This street play caught attention of the on lookers and others around the vicinity. The play being in the regional language , Hindi, the message of ‘population explosion being a problem’ was well reached out to the audience. It was indeed an enriching experience for these young minds to give out a social message and make a difference to the society. Such was a day full of memories, awareness and holistic development from the students perspective. PBIS has always been and will proudly continue to be a part of many such events that give a chance to its students to be global learners.
